TEKTELIC TUNDRA - LoRaWAN® Cold Chain Sensor

The TEKTELIC TUNDRA is a LoRaWAN temperature and humidity sensor for cold chain monitoring. With a -40 to +70 °C operating range and IP67 enclosure, the device is designed for deployment inside cold rooms, refrigerated areas, fridges, coolers, and freezers. A 20 dBm LoRaWAN radio with internal antenna delivers reliable uplinks through the signal attenuation typical of refrigerated equipment.

Ambient temperature is measured at 0.1 °C resolution with ±0.3 °C accuracy in the -20 to 0 °C frozen storage band, ±0.9 °C across -40 to 40 °C, and ±1.2 °C from 40 to 70 °C. Relative humidity is measured at 0.5 % resolution with ±2 % accuracy in the 20-80 % RH range. An onboard accelerometer adds motion detection.

A single C-cell LTC battery (8500 mAh) delivers up to 15 years of operation at 10-minute reporting on SF7, or 7 years on SF10. Onboard storage of 3,000 entries buffers data through connectivity gaps. User-configurable thresholds and reporting parameters allow the device to be tailored to specific applications, and TUNDRA is compatible with standard LoRaWAN gateways and network servers. An external-probe variant is also available for installations where the sensor body must remain outside the monitored environment.
