The Westermo IBEX RT-220 is a compact WiFi access point engineered for reliable wireless connectivity in harsh industrial environments. Supporting both access point and client modes with 2x2 MIMO on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, it delivers stable high-speed data transmission even under challenging conditions. The device is particularly suited for applications requiring transparent inter-consist links with automatic reconfiguration, as well as general industrial wireless infrastructure.
Designed to meet EN 50155 requirements for railway applications, the RT-220's proven reliability and extensive environmental testing make it equally suitable for demanding industrial deployments in mining, maritime, and critical infrastructure sectors. The calibrated radio module ensures high RF sensitivity and stable links even at extended distances, while GORE-TEX membrane protection and IP66 rating provide robust defense against condensation, dust, and water ingress.
